Doodle 101 / Sisters

We’ve all been blind…at least once.  I was listening to James McDonald on Family Talk Radio and he shared this story…

James had a friend in college who was leaving class with his books in hand.  All of the sudden, someone came from out of nowhere, bumped into him on the stairs, and knocked all of his books out of his hands.  His friend immediately got up in anger and shouted at this person in a very unkind rant, then noticed that there, on the ground, lie a walking stick, used by the blind.  The person who had bumped into James’ friend couldn’t see…Had he known that it was a blind man who ran into him, his attitude would have been much different. Instead of anger, he would have offered compassion. Instead of a rant, he would have offered help.

We were ALL once blind.  We bumble and stumble and cause God heartache when we blindly wander away from Him.  BUT, He isn’t angry with us…He knows that we are blind, and so He patiently waits for us to look up, so that He can give us the light we need to see.

Aren’t we too quick to judge the “blind?”…why not, instead of judgement,

give them light…not more darkness…

someone did that much for each of us.

Life feels like a competition…when we’re all on the same team.

If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.” 1 Corinthians 12:26

Let’s Rally Girls! GATHER IN HIS NAME and encourage one another in faith!

WE NEED EACH OTHER!

JOHN 17

20 “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.22 The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. 24 Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. 26 I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”

This, our Savior prayed…for all those who would betray Him…for those who hurt Him, turned away from Him, rejected Him, denied Him…killed Him.

He prayed for us all…knowing what He knew….moments before the final curtain was torn.

no greater LOVE could we ever know.

Doodle 101 / Mountains

DOODLE101:Mountains/SUECARROLL

Every year we take our kids skiing out west to Park City, Utah. Now we are taking our grandchildren…where did the time go?

I am never more awed by God’s Glory, than when I look out over these mountains. It is a place that makes the statement “a mountain top experience” come to life for me.

I especially appreciate the imagery in Psalm 98

“let the mountains sing together for joy!”

I hear them up here, and I’m singing with them.

Inspiration for this doodle came from a new song our Church Worship Band wrote and performed this morning.  What a sweet time we had with the Lord today…

Thank you Rivers Crossing Worship Team!

An Indescribable Day!

Laurastorycollage/SueCarroll

What an incredible day we just had!  600 + Women came to experience God.

Above are a few pages out of our program/journal for the day.

Laura’s message…

“Although your situation might never change or get “better” with Jesus…

YOU CAN.”

laurastoryBETTERBROKENSPLIT1nohearts

It was “Indescribable” day of Worship, Powerful teaching, and Community.

Women, coming together to share their stories…experiencing God’s presence and His glory.

One of my favorite songs…

THIS IS GOD’S HEART FOR EACH OF US.

Along with Laura’s “STORY” we heard powerful testimonies from several Women from our Congregation.  Below is a LINK to watch their stories.

(included in this group, is my precious Daughter-in-love…and I mean LOVE.  Who shared a little about her journey with Ethan)

Our hope and prayer in sharing these stories, is to confirm in your heart, that YOU ARE NOT ALONE and that your story is a part of something much BIGGER…GOD’S STORY and that His plan for your life is not limited to this earthly dwelling…it is a plan for eternity.

We pray that you would receive the message that there are others out there experiencing the very struggle you might feel alone in and be encouraged.

Take heart…we are OVERCOMERS in Christ who overcame death on our behalf.

There is hope and even joy in the midst of trial.

Look up, and you will find it.  You will find God.

Bless you,

Doodle 101 /Wave

I get excited when someone asks me for help with a particular image they want to draw.  Often, it’s something I haven’t done as a Doodle 101, and it’s a fun challenge!

In our Women’s Bible Study group at my church we are currently doing a Bible Journaling Class.  One of the things I most love about women coming together to seek the Lord, is the variety within “the body.”  Women from all backgrounds, each with a unique story. Younger women meeting with more “mature” (old like me) women sharing encouragement, wisdom, and life experience…unified by their desire to seek the Lord with their whole heart!

One of my “younger sisters” who blows me away with the amount of “seeds” God has planted in her young life, asked me to help her with a wave.

The wave is mentioned in the song performed by Bethel Music “It is Well” and the quote from above is from this beautiful piece written by Kristene DiMarco.

This is for you sweet Jana!
