The Virtue of Contentment / WK 3 / Day 1

The Virtue of Contentment / WK 3 / Day 1 / Sue Carroll

Hello!

This week we will be studying 2 different scripture passages as we continue in The Virtue of Contentment : A Bible Journaling Study

As we DIG DEEPER  each week, we are investigating the clues within our lives that reveal the root of our wandering…

which leads to DIScontent.

Only through our commitment to prayer and surrender to the Lord, will the Holy Spirit teach us things we do not know.

“We have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.”

 1 Cor 2:12,13

In Week 1 we “dug into”

our “feelings” or “emotions” (that are often NOT rooted in truth) and the roller coaster we can be on that keeps us from the steady joy the Lord desires for us to have

In Week 2 we “dug into”

our relationships…both with each other, and with the Lord, and how past experiences can influence the way we “see” things.

This week, we will dig into

the importance of operating from our “owners manual” ( The Holy Scripture) and the effects of “running our machine” outside the “manufacturers” guidlines!

More on that throughout the week:)

I’m excited for Week 3!

The Virtue of Contentment / WK 3 / Day 1 / Sue Carroll

It is a GREAT JOY for me to have the opportunity to study with Sisters from all over!  The Lord teaches us so much through one another…

What a privilege we share.

Much love,

Sue
