What’s in your “Pantry?” -from the Armor of God Study by Priscilla Shirer

The Helmet of Salvation

“And what the brain is to the body, your mind is to your soul.  It is the spiritual expression of your brain. The Control center. If your mind doesn’t send out healthy impulses, your soul will not respond in healthy ways.

This is why the enemy works so diligently to cripple you through negative thoughts and unhealthy patterns of imagination.”  -Priscilla Shirer

If we don’t know the truth we will act upon lies.

…and boy, does that get us into a heap of trouble…I’m speaking from experience.  A distorted view, becomes more distorted…and leaves you in a place of separation, loneliness, hopelessness…without hope.

I love the way Priscilla uses the analogy of “comprehensive coverage.”

We have to know what’s in our plan…what is listed in our “salvation benefit package!”

Then we can step out in confidence. We can know we are fully covered and can “act accordingly” without fear, to fulfill the purpose God has called us to.

We’re back in Ephesians…(my favorite Chapter)

Re-label your pantry with this list of salvation benefits…

In Christ, they are already yours!

Like the Roman Soldier who wouldn’t forget his helmet, we must not leave home without ours!

The security it provides will protect us in the battle for our minds.

Blessings,
