A few Christmas Canvases…

I once was lost…

I am a sinner who at one time saw the world, myself and even God with a distorted view, which led me to make very many poor decisions that eventually brought me to a place of devastation and brokenness. Through many courageous and faithful women, I found my way off the path of misguided wandering, to the path of understanding….understanding (and confidence) that I have a Father in Heaven who “longs to be gracious to me” (Isaiah) a Father that would rather die than live without me…who created me for a good purpose (Jeremiah) and in that purpose I would find true joy.

Our God is a rescuer.  He allows us to be a part of His mission to save lives.

I did this piece for a fellow lost sheep who has found her way home…

because God reached down to pull her up…

and she grabbed hold…a perfect rescue.

Because of what He did for me, I am chosen, accepted, forgiven, set apart, redeemed, holy and loved. (Ephesians 1)

He did it for you too:)

Birthday Party /Christmas Canvas Class

Last night I taught a Christmas canvas class with a very special group of women who planned this fun night out to celebrate their friend’s birthday!  Many had never created a mixed media project…and I was soooo impressed by all their efforts!

While learning some fun mixed media techniques, the celebration included yummy food and desserts…and I think there may have been a few glasses of wine:)

Christmas is my favorite time of year!  Celebrating the birth of our Savior…knowing that our Lord came so that we might live, that He would rather die than be without us.  What an IMMEASURABLE  LOVE.
